Microdermabrasion

What is Microdermabrasion?
A system of intense exfoliation and resurfacing using ultra fine crystals that rejuvenate the skin. The crystals work as a gentle abrasive on the skin to remove dead skin cells layer by layer.
The vacuum action of the machine stimulates the circulation and promotes increased blood flow to the area. The production of collagen and elastin is stimulated, which results in a firmer, more youthful looking skin.

Why Microdermabrasion?
Immediate results, straight back to work, and radiant skin!

What are the benefits of using Microdermabrasion over other methods of treatment?
There is minimal discomfort experienced during a microdermabrasion treatment and my clients are able to carry on with their normal day afterwards. Crystal microdermabrasion uses a completely inert and sterile compound with zero risk of allergic reaction.

Are there any risks associated with microdermabrasion?
Improper use or unhygienic conditions pose a risk when having microdermabrasion treatment. However I have recieved full training on the use of the SkinBase MDPro machine and am certified to confirm I am competent in the use of the system
The MDPro uses disposable nozzles; eliminating any risk of cross-contamination between clients as the nozzle is the only component that will come into contact with the skin during treatment.

What skin conditions can Microdermabrasion treat?

Acne & Acne Scarring
Fine Lines and Wrinkles
Ageing Skin Dull and Tired Skin
Uneven Skin Tone
Dry and Dehydrated Skin
Stretch Marks
Pigmentation and Blemishes
Cellulite, ‘orange peel’ effect

F.A.Q’s:
Is microdermabrasion safe for all skin types?
Yes, microdermabrasion can be used for all skin types on all areas of the body and face.

How quickly will my client see results?
Clients will see results immediately and with each subsequent treatment their skin will continue to look progressively better.

How many treatments should clients have?
For the optimum results its recommend to have a course of 8 treatments, people with acne or acne scarring might need more treatments and we recommend a monthly maintenance treatment after the course has finished to help maintain the results achieved.
Clients will see results immediately and with each subsequent treatment their skin will continue to look progressively better.

How often should clients have a treatment?
Treatments are usually performed every 7 to 10 days.

Are there any side effects to the treatment?
After the treatment, the skin may feel tight with mild redness. Therefore it is important that clients
use a good moisturiser. These effects normally subside within 24 hours of treatment
