Skin health is NOT a luxury

The skin is the biggest organ of the human body, yet people neglect it and abuse it so much.

There is a lot of emphasis on having a healthy diet and exercise and keeping the inside in good order, but what about the outside?

I believe that people should treat their skin in the same way that they treat their teeth - brushing twice a day (comparable to cleansing toning and moisturising), flossing (comparable to exfoliating and deep cleansing masque's) and regularly visiting the dentist (comparable to going for a professional skin treatment).

Yes, there are many people that don't take care of their teeth and certainly don't visit the dentist and look what happens: their teeth decay and sometimes drop out.

I'm not trying to say that your skin will drop off if you don't look after it, but what will happen? Lines, wrinkles, sallowness, uneven texture etc.

Yes, there are products out there that can improve on these but once you have lines and wrinkles then either botox or dermal fillers are your only hope of getting some sort of noticeable result. If you wanted to eradicate theses signs of aging all together then drastic surgery would be your option.

We are all going to age, and there is no getting away from that, however by taking care of your skin and having regular skin treatments you can slow it down and make the inevitable a happier process – even ageing skin can be clear bright and luminous!

There are people that look after their skin but take it to the other extreme and treat it as a big luxury pampering event which must be accompanied by soft music and candle-light.

All too often professional skin treatments are the same way. Why?

Does the candle light enhance the product's effectiveness in some way? A dentist doesn't carry out their treatment in near darkness; nor does a hairdresser. I cannot get my head around this way of thinking at all.

Many people use the excuse that skin care products are expensive and they can’t afford it. However, upon asking them, they often will tell you that they will happily spend £70.00 on a pair of jeans which they will wear once a week; you wear your face 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year so surely isn’t it worth investing in?

Great looking health skin will give you more confidence than a new pair of Levi’s.

Choose a professional brand that will give you real results. Your skin will thank you for it in the end.
